& the Miracle of Roses

Carmelite Monastery, Lipa City 1948

ON September 1948 Our Lady fully dressed in white,
appeared to a young Carmelite postulant, Teresita Castillo in the gardens of the Carmelite Monastery in Lipa City. It was said that in several occasions during and subsequent to the apparitions, showers of rose petals fell within the vicinity of the Carmelite Monastery .

According to published stories, witnesses came

forth attributing some miracles to the rose petals

from the miraculous shower and the waters taken from the Carmelite cisterns.

We went to visit Lipa Carmel last year. There we met Sister Clare who showed us one of the miraculous petals which has been preserved in a glass case. The petal shows the holy image of the Son of God. Above is one of the petals with the miraculous imprint of the Holy image.
